My earliest memory of artistic inspiration was when I was in kindergarten, while watching a movie with my parents. The opening scene was so beautiful, with lots of bright color and awesome texture. It left such an impression on me that I couldn't wait to recreate it the next day at school, during art time. I distinctly remember being frustrated at the lack of options available to me in the classroom crayon set, which was probably the classic eight pack, but I poured my heart into my work and was very satisfied when I finished.
Well, the movie had been "Look Who's Talking", and the opening scene is actual footage of insemination. My artwork was such a realistic portrayal of the scene that my teacher aptly titled it "How a Baby is Made, or Sperm and Egg". Yeah, my parents had a fun conference that year.
